Eric Bouvet has never been trained in an academic school, he is a self-made painter.

He has been painting for 29 years now with the same passion in his style all through his career. For the second time since 1994, he gives an exhibition in his home town, Alès. Eric Bouvet now lives in Aramon.

"Nature is my only source of inspiration, with all its fields, hills, garrigues, Cevennes Mountains, and animals. I find my inspiration in the song of a bird, in the scent of the wild thyme and of pines, in the shrillings of cicadas, in the soft murmur of a brook, on the flapping of the wings of a buzzard, in the scent of the fields in the springtime."

• 1985 and 1986: 2 certificates of recommendation at l'Ile de Bendor (Var)
• 1994: Eric Bouvet is invited to the rest-home of Alès
• 1995 Grand Prix du jury at les Plantiers
• 1995: 1st prize of oil painting at Saint André de Valborgne
• 1996: painting exhibition with Nicole AVEZARD (from Les VAMPS)
• 1997: inauguration of the Touris Center of Pont Saint Esprit
• Numerous exhibitions in the Cevennes, in Gard, in Var, in Provence, and on the French Riviera between 1981 and 2010
• 2008: creation of the 1st arts and crafts exhibition with Aramon Council
• 2009: creation of the 1st "Peintures et Sculptures" for the "Amis de Julie polyhandicapée" association.
• Eric Bouvet has been exhibiting for 4 years now for Villeneuve lez Avignon Rotary Club (30% of the sale given to handicap associations)
• Since September 2008, Eric Bouvet is spending his Fridays afternoon in Aramon to take care of disabled people for the "Amis de Julie polyhandicapée" association.
• 2010: 2nd " Peintures et Sculptures" planned for April.
