Grand Alès agglomeration wants to follow and extend its policy of rehabilitation of old buildings, which has already begun in some neighborhoods and villages. A budget and an information and advice service were created to this purpose.
So as to have a good coordination between means and financing, the agglomeration has made a partnership with the State and with the Anah ( National Agency for Accommodation) in the framework of the creation of the OPAH program (Planned Operation for the Improvement of Accomodations).
These OPAH help homeowners renovating around 100 accomodations each year in Grand Alès.
An OPAH has the following missions:
- Preserve the architectural heritage thanks to good quality renovations.
- Increase the accommodation capacity by rehabilitating empty buildings.
- Improvement of the quality in the already occupied buildings.
- Make it easier to rehabilitate affordable accommodations.
